How would a Koenigsegg employee configure their own Regera? Over the past few months, Koenigsegg has been publishing on its social networks several Regera configured by members of the team that participated in the development of the super sports car, from the head of design to the person responsible for the electrical components.

Purple finish for the bodywork, gold wheels, red brake shoes, aerodynamic kit, diamond pattern seat seams and lots of carbon fiber. As you can see in the gallery below, there are versions for all tastes – unfortunately, not for all wallets.

Among these is a very special model, customized by Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO and founder of the Swedish brand. For the latest model of the Employee Regera Series, Christian opted for bluish tones for the bodywork with gold stripes, the same color as the wheels, a color combination similar to the Swedish flag.

The interior of this personalized Regera tells a curious story. In 1992, two years before forming Koenigsegg Automotive, Christian and his girlfriend (current wife and COO) jointly bought a Mazda MX-5 NA , with leather interiors in brownish tones.

In honor of his first Miata, and because it was a “family business” — in the early years, Christian's own father even worked at Koenigsegg — Christian chose to choose the same color scheme for the interior of his Regera.

A super sports car in the truest sense of the word

Equipped with a 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the Koenigsegg Regera has the precious help of three electric motors, to deliver a total of 1500 hp of power and 2000 Nm of torque. The performances are, of course, stunning: the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2.8 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 6.6 seconds and from 0 to 400 km/h in 20 seconds . Recovery from 150 km/h to 250 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds!
