It took five years of prototype presentations to generate suspense about the final result, but the Lamborghini Urus it was already revealed more than three months ago, in a world presentation to the press.
Lamborghini was one of the few brands not yet surrendered to SUV fashion, but it's gone. Today, here in Geneva, we were finally able to see “live and in color”, and up close, what the Lamborghini Urus actually is.
What stands out the most are the huge dimensions of the model, which naturally does not hide the features faithful to the models of the Italian manufacturer.
Unsurprisingly, the Lamborghini Urus shares a platform — the MLB — with the Bentley Bentayga, the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne, but it differs from them in everything else.
The more than two tons have 440 mm ceramic discs and 10-piston brake calipers on the front axle, in order to immobilize the huge model. These are actually the biggest brakes to equip a production car.

The block is the 4.0 liter V8 with two turbos, which advertises 650 hp and 850 Nm of torque , which makes Urus able to present numbers worthy of a super sports car: 3.59 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and 300 km/h top speed.
The interior is, of course, what we could ask for from a Lamborghini. Luxurious, technological and in detail. For the rest, the differences are for the rear seats, which can be configured for two or three seats, and for the luggage compartment, with a capacity of 616 liters.
