There is a new star in the New South Wales Police Department in Sydney. It has a hybrid engine of 362 hp, 250 km/h of top speed and takes just 4.4 seconds to complete the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.
After the Audi RS4 Avant and Audi S7 Sportback, it was time for another German brand to hand over a sports car to the Australian police. This time, it is a BMW i8, which was promptly dressed for the position it will occupy in the near future – not even the roof escaped this customization made for the Rose Bay division, outside Sydney.

This BMW i8 was given away by a Bavarian brand dealer in Sydney, but like previous models, the German hybrid will not be used for mind-boggling pursuits.

This car is a tool to break down barriers between the police and the community, as it allows them to come to us to talk about the car. And usually these conversations lead to people talking openly and realizing that we're not that bad after all.”
