Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 fell into the clutches of Mansory. Result: 840 hp!

Another radical preparation by Mansory, this time with the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 as a guinea pig. And the experience couldn't have gone better.

An engine with power to give and sell, sporty yet luxurious styling and seating for 7 – the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 doesn't lack anything. But Mansory doesn't share the same opinion…

The Bavarian preparer has prepared a pack of modifications for the SUV. On an aesthetic level, the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 has won the usual appendages: new bumpers and air intakes, side skirts, new bonnet and a rear spoiler and diffuser. And not forgetting the more pronounced wheel arches, which accommodate tires with new 23-inch wheels. In addition, the new air suspension makes it possible to place the GLS 63 approximately 30 mm closer to the ground.

Inside, Mansory bet on a redesigned steering wheel, leather upholstery with applications in carbon fiber and aluminum pedals. But since performance is the main objective of this modification program, the best is hidden under the bonnet.

Explosive cocktail: 840 hp and 1150 Nm

Equipped with the 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the standard Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 delivers 585 hp of power and 760 Nm of torque. Nothing that couldn't be improved upon, in Mansory's eyes.

The preparer upgraded the V8 engine – reprogramming the ECU, new air filter, etc. – which started to charge 840 hp and 1150 Nm . The increase in power translates into a top speed of 295 km/h (without the electronic limiter) and a sprint up to 100 km/h under the 4.9 seconds of the standard model – Mansory does not specify how much.
