Cold Start. Hummer EV will walk (almost) sideways like a crab

Will there be a greater act of redemption? After all, what was one of the targets of “everything that is wrong with the world” reappears as a new and unprecedented electric “super truck”. That's what we'll see, finally (and after a five-month delay due to Covid-19), on October 20, when the curtain is lifted on the GMC Hummer EV — is no longer a brand and becomes a model.

This isn't the first teaser we've seen of the resurrected model, which will feature a 1000 hp electric super pick-up, but it's arguably the most intriguing of them all, highlighting the “crab mode” or crab mode that will make available.

In this mode, the four directional wheels face the same side, allowing the Hummer EV to walk sideways — technically, diagonally — just like a crab, as shown in the video below:

Although the Hummer EV was announced with 1000 hp of power and an absurd acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in less than 3.0s, there will be more contained versions. Batteries with capacities between 50 kWh and 200 kWh have already been announced.
