Deliveries of the cheapest new Bugatti they can buy, the Baby II — a kind of toy for the little ones… —, have already started and one of the first units was delivered in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, where it will be used at the… airport.
Yes that's right. This 3/4-size replica of the Bugatti Type 35, its most successful model ever on the circuit, will be used for private transport to the VIP sections of Al Maktoum International Airport.
Painted in Jetex Orange, a color specially developed for this issue, this Bugatti Baby II even has a personalized number plate.
In addition to this, it has leather seats, LED headlights, brake lights and even a second key (Speed Key), like the “brother” Chiron, which releases all its driving power.
And speaking of engine, it's important to say that this Baby II is an electric rear-wheel drive, with regenerative braking and even has a self-locking differential.
It has two driving modes: “child” and “adult”. In the first mode it delivers just 1 kW (1.36 hp) of power and reaches 20 km/h, in the second the power rises to 4 kW (5.4 hp) and speed is 45 km/h.
But there is a third mode, unlocked only with the second key, which gives “access” to 10 kW (13.4 hp) and allows reaching 70 km/h.
Only 500 copies of the Bugatti Baby II will be built, which was announced at a base price of around 30,000 euros. However, this particular copy, which has several options and exclusive elements, will have cost something like 59 000 euros.
