New Dacia Logan MCV. Still with 7 seats will be unveiled at the Munich Motor Show

Coincidentally, the most recent spy photos of the nova Dacia Logan MCV , the Logan range van, arrived at us almost simultaneously with the Romanian brand's first official teasers for its new model.

These show a virtual projection of what Dacia's exhibition space will look like at the next Munich Motor Show, taking place at the beginning of next September.

As we can see below, the Dacia space has five covered models, with one of them standing out in the shape of a van (although low, which may not be representative of what we will see). The communiqué accompanying the images announces that the Munich Motor Show has been chosen to unveil "an all-new versatile seven-seater family car".

"Caught" in the summer tests

The spy photos allow a clear view of the volume of the new models, derived from the Logan sedan (not marketed in Portugal) that saw a new generation simultaneously with the Sandero — a model that we have already tested.

Despite the abundant camouflage, it is possible to see the volumetry of the new model, which, like the Logan MCV we knew, seems to be the “missing link” between the traditional van and the MPV.

If the front appears to be shared with the Logan — it may contain some stylistic differences for the sedan in terms of the bumper and grille — it is distinguished from the A-pillar, or better, above it, with the roof rising above it. regarding the sedan. The greater height of the Logan MCV is combined with a longer wheelbase and a “fatter” rear volume, ensuring the space needed for a third row of seats.

The rear, on the other hand, reveals some contours that, at first glance, appear to be close to those of a Volvo van or SUV. This is due to the vertical rear optics that form a "shoulder", following the contours of the bodywork.

The test prototype “caught up” in these spy photos still reveals a somewhat generous ground clearance, which could be the Stepway version, as it exists in the Sandero.

It should be noted that, despite the seven seats, the Logan MCV is not the production version of the Bigster, the concept of a seven-seater SUV unveiled at the beginning of the year. This one will arrive during 2022.

And more?

Given the technical proximity to the Logan and Sandero, it is expected that it will share its engines and transmissions with them, despite the greater volume and load capacity (for people and luggage).

It may also belong to the new Logan MCV the honor of debuting the new Dacia logo on one of its models, an information that still needs to be confirmed.

The new Dacia Logan MCV will be unveiled on the 3rd of September, with its first public appearance taking place a few days later, on the 6th of September, with the start of the Munich Motor Show.
