Dacia's more ambitious future brings a new logo

The next few years promise to bring many new features to Dacia and the first step in the “revolution” that the Romanian brand will undergo is, precisely, the total renewal of its visual identity.

The most visible part of the new identity is the new logo we first saw on the Bigster prototype. The perfectly symmetrical symbol, with a simple and minimalist appearance, does not, however, hide any obscure meaning or symbolism.

In reality, it is nothing more than a stylization of the letters “D” and “C” (from DaCia, naturally), with the objective of “remembering that Dacia is a brand that focuses on the essentials”. But the novelties in Dacia's visual identity are not limited to the logo.

Dacia's new logo is based on simplicity.

Focus on the outdoors and nature

The color blue, until now dominant in Dacia's communication (from the logo to dealerships and pages on social media), will give way to the color green. Dacia's color palette will thus evoke a greater proximity between the Romanian brand and nature.

The main color will be khaki green, then there will be five more secondary colors: three colors more related to the earth (dark khaki, terracotta and sand) and two more vivid (orange and bright green).

The objective is to exalt the evasion capabilities of the Dacia range (which Duster and Stepway variants are its best sellers) and, according to the brand, symbolize “the desire for freedom, to recharge batteries, to return to what it is essential".

The lettering of the Romanian brand also changed and khaki green became the dominant color.

Dacia's new visual identity will be instituted little by little. Later this month, it will be presented through various communication channels: brand websites, advertising, brochures, social networks (all places where the new logo is already present).

At the beginning of 2022, it will be the turn of the concessionaires to gradually adopt the new visual identity and the new logo. Finally, the arrival of the new “symbol” of Dacia to the models of the Romanian brand is scheduled for the second half of 2022, most likely with the launch of the production version of the Bigster.
