Who will succeed Jaguar I-Pace in Car Of The Year 2020?

In September we met the models selected by the World Car Awards for world car of the year; last week the candidates for car of the year in Portugal were revealed; all that was needed was to know the models selected by Car Of The Year , or COTY, which will elect the international car of the year for 2020.

Last year the award for international car of the year was given to the Jaguar I-Pace — which was also named world car of the year — in the tightest race ever, with the second-placed Alpine A110 achieving the same number of points.

The Car Of The Year is a European award, the oldest in the automobile industry, founded in 1964, by several specialized European means.

To be selected for this award, the brands are not submitting their models. The models are or are not eligible if they meet some criteria imposed by the regulations.

These criteria include the launch date or the number of markets where it is sold — the model must be on sale by the end of this year and in at least five European markets.

In this year's edition there are 59 juries from 23 countries who selected the following 35 models:

  • Audi e-tron
