At a time when the demand for models with an adventurous look continues to break records, Ford reinforced its offer and in addition to its three SUVs (EcoSport, Kuga and Edge) developed a crossover range based on the KA+, Fiesta and Focus.
Named Active, these versions of the three models live up to the name and present themselves with an adventurous look, greater ground clearance and even accessories that allow them to combine the dynamic capabilities, traditionally associated with Ford models, with increased versatility, ideal for everyone who likes to lead an active life.
The first model in Ford's crossover range was the Fiesta Active. This was followed by the adventurous version of the small KA+ (the KA+ Active) and the third and, for now, the last model of the blue oval brand to receive an adventurous version was the Focus, which in the Active version appears so much in the van format. as hatchback.
Ford KA+ Active. The smallest of the "family"

Launched about a year ago, the Ford KA+ Active combines the small dimensions of a city with the robust and adventurous look of an SUV. Thus, on the exterior, the Ford city dweller received a specifically styled grille, exclusive 15” alloy wheels, various plastic protections on the bodywork, roof bars and black details on the mirrors and fog lamp moldings.
Inside the KA+ Active, specific details such as the leather-covered steering wheel or the seats with resistant coatings stand out. As for equipment, the Ford KA+ Active counts, as standard, with systems such as the Ford SYNC 3 that work via voice commands or the 6.5” touchscreen.
In addition to the aesthetic changes, the KA+ Active has 23 mm more ground clearance, a wider track width, a larger front anti-roll bar and an electronic power steering with specific tuning. Animating the Ford KA+ Active is a small gasoline engine of 1.19 l and 85 hp associated with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Ford Fiesta Active. the pioneer

The first model in Ford's crossover offensive, the Ford Fiesta Active emerged with a simple goal: to combine the recognized dynamic capabilities of Ford's SUV with an adventurous, dynamic and versatile look.
As with the KA+ Active, the Fiesta Active received various bodywork protections, roof bars, specific wheels (in this case 17”) and even a specific grille. Inside, the sporty front seats (covered in exclusive materials), the leather-covered steering wheel and the SYNC 3 infotainment system (which can be associated with a 6.5” or 8” screen) stand out.
Available only in the five-door bodywork, the Ford Fiesta Active has a higher ground clearance (+18mm) and wider tracks (+10mm). In addition, the Active version also has an electric power steering with specific tuning and a system of driving modes with three options: Normal, Eco and Slippery (Slippery).
The Ford Fiesta Active+ is available with 1.0 EcoBoost in the 100hp and 125hp versions (the 100hp version can be associated with an automatic transmission) and also with the 85hp 1.5 TDCi and six-speed manual transmission.
Ford Focus Active. One proposal, two bodyworks

Available in both hatchback and estate variants, the Ford Focus Active is the latest member of Ford's crossover range. Compared to “normal” Focuses, the Ford Focus Active aesthetically comes with the usual plastic body protections (on the bumpers, sides and wheel arches), 17” or 18” wheels and even roof bars.
In technical terms, Ford increased its height to the ground (+30 mm at the front and 34 mm at the rear) and equipped it with the multi-arm rear suspension which, until now, was reserved for the most powerful engines.
Inside, the Ford Focus Active distinguishes itself through seats with reinforced cushioning, contrasting color stitching and the Active logo, in addition to various decor details and specific tone choices for this more adventurous version.
In terms of engines, the Ford Focus Active is available in two variants with petrol and diesel engines. The gasoline offer is made up of 1.0 EcoBoost in the 125 hp version, which can be associated with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.
The Diesel offer is made up of 1.5 TDCi EcoBlue and 2.0 TDCi EcoBlue. The first has 120 hp and can be associated with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. As for the 2.0 TDCi EcoBlue, it offers 150 hp and can come together with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
As with the Fiesta Active, the most adventurous Focus also has specific driving modes. Thus, to the three driving modes already existing in the remaining Focus (Normal, Eco and Sport) the Ford Focus Active adds the new driving modes Slippery (Slippery) and Trail (Trails).
