There was no need to wait for the Geneva Motor Show. After several teasers and a lot of speculation, Pagani has just revealed the first images (and specifications) of the new Pagani Huayra Roadster, the convertible version of the Italian sports car.
The main curiosity was related to the solution that Pagani found for the roof. The Italian brand will offer two types of roof: the first in carbon fiber (hardtop style) with a central glass and the second with a canvas hood that can be stored inside the car. About the system of opening the doors, Pagani did not reveal details.

Lighter, more powerful and faster than the coupé version. But how?
During the development of the Huayra Roadster, Pagani did more than simply 'amputate' the coupé body roof. According to the brand, the entire structure of the sports car was revised, and the new materials result in a diet of 80 kg (6%) and an increase in torsional rigidity.
At the heart of the Pagani Huayra Roadster is an improved version of the 6.0-litre-capacity V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG. The numbers are breathtaking: 764 horsepower , available at 6200 rpm, and a 1000 Nm maximum torque , available at 2400 rpm. The Huayra Roadster is equipped with a seven-speed XTrac automatic transmission, similar to that of the Huayra BC.

The list of modifications is completed with a new HiForg suspension, designed specifically for the roadster, new brakes in carbon-ceramic Brembo, Pirelli tires with HP inscriptions (initials by Horacio Pagani) and a stability control system with five driving modes distinct.
As for performance, it is not clear how much faster the Pagani Huayra Roadster is compared to the hardtop variant. Remember that the Pagani Huayra completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, before reaching 360 km/h.
Each of the 100 copies that will be produced have a value of 2,280,000 € (before taxes), an exorbitant price but that did not deter potential buyers: the 100 units are all sold . We will be able to see the new Pagani Huayra Roadster live and in full color at the Geneva Motor Show during the official presentation.
