Pagani Huayra is Richard Hammond's Car of the Year

Those who are fans of Top Gear, and especially Richard Hammond, will certainly remember the state of excitement the British presenter was in after testing the Pagani Zonda. But did this happen to new Huayra?

Believe me! Zonda's younger brother, left Hammond slack-jawed and speechless to describe this masterpiece born in the city of Modena, Italy. For the presenter, this Huayra could already be crowned as his “2012 Car of the Year”. Remember, that Jeremy Clarkson chose the Toyota GT86 for the best car of 2012. Hammond noted in this month's Top Gear magazine that his 2012 Car of the Year will not revolutionize personal transport, reinvent motorsport or solve the approaching energy crisis. But it's such an unbelievable machine that it doesn't even seem real, something like the mythical existence of unicorns. This was the possible description that Richard Hammond arranged to expose all his thoughts about the Pagani Huayra. And as the other says… for a good person, half a word is enough.

The Huayra is powered by an AMG Bi-Turbo V12 engine ready to deliver 730hp and 1000Nm of maximum torque. And as if all this strength wasn't enough to make us commit an act of madness, its total weight is only 1,350 kg, which makes everything more interesting from a performance perspective: 0-100 km/h in 3.3 sec and 380 km/h top speed!
