Taking advantage of the long-awaited official unveiling of what is the first shooting brake in the history of the South Korean brand, named ProCeed, Kia unveiled, for the first time, live and in color, the sportiest version of the new Ceed family: the Kia Ceed GT.
However, at a time when Kia and Hyundai, the two car brands of the South Korean giant Hyundai, seek to separate paths, avoiding any possible sales cannibalization, even though sharing virtually all vital organs, Kia chose not to replicate the Hyundai i30 N phenomenon. Preferring, rather, a more “simple” GT — it, too, prepared by Mr. Albert Biermann, it is true, but, even so, less ostentatious than an “N”.
Athletic but discreet image
Born in the heart of the important Ceed family and proposed, like the more “civilized” versions, only in the five-door bodywork — the three-door is over — this Kia Ceed GT is thus distinguished by a admittedly more sporty and athletic exterior look , starting with the front section — marked by a redesigned bumper, with more generous air intakes, a specific honeycomb grille with a GT signature, in addition to the already emblematic “ice cube” daytime running lights.
With a floor height reduced to 135 mm , in other words, 5 mm less than the more familiar versions, the new Kia Ceed GT also gets, along with an eight-color palette for the bodywork, a specific rear bumper, with two cut-out and placed exhaust pipes. at the ends of the body, a rear diffuser, and a small aileron at the top of the rear window.

Inside the cabin, the GT acronym is reproduced in several places, with the sporting sensations also gaining prominence conveyed by a specific steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and by the environment entirely in black, with metal details and red stitching.

When associated with the latter, the Kia Ceed GT also has Drive Select Mode, which allows you to choose between a Normal or Sport type of driving, with the corresponding adjustment in the response of the box, steering and engine.
