The Lamborghini Huracán Performante had already made a strong impression last year when it was presented in this same salon in coupé format. For a few months he was even the fastest in the “Green Inferno”, until the Porsche 911 GT2 RS beat him for five seconds, with a cannon time of 6min and 47s.
Lamborghini announces identical numbers for both the Coupé and the Spyder. The 5.2-litre V10 delivers 640 hp at 8000 rpm and 600 Nm at 6500 rpm, while maintaining four-wheel drive, seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, evolved suspension and improved electronic stability control.
The aerodynamic apparatus is equally similar in the two bodies, with the Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder incorporating several active aerodynamic appendages, capable of varying the downforce depending on the needs of the pilot… pilot!
No ceiling adds pounds
However, the lack of a roof forced reinforcements, penalizing the Spyder's weight by 125 kilos relative to the coupe — raising the dry weight to 1507 kg, 57% of which on the rear axle.
The extra ballast affects performance: the 100 km/h is completed in 3.1s (2.9s for the Coupé), and the 200 km/h in 9.3s, more 0.4s than the Coupé.
Even so, the Performante Spyder manages to be lighter than the “normal” Spyder by 35 kg, thanks to the use of components in forged composites (Forged Composites), which allow not only to remove weight, but also to guarantee a distinct finish.

By the way, it is also important to mention the fact that the roof retracts in just 17 seconds, inclusive, when in motion, as long as at speeds of up to 50 km/h. With the rear window also having an independent electrical system, which allows it to be lowered.
Available now this summer
The Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder should start being delivered to the first customers next summer, with indicative prices, for Europe, from 219 585 euros.
