Toyota retains the title of largest car manufacturer in the world, with a total of 10.23 million units delivered in 2014. But the Volkswagen Group is getting closer.
The competition for the title of largest car manufacturer is increasingly fierce. For the third consecutive year, Toyota (including the Daihatsu and Hino brands) claimed for itself the status of the No. 1 manufacturer in the world, managing to deliver a total of 10.23 million vehicles in 2014. There are about 3 cars produced every second.

In second place, increasingly close to leadership, comes the Volkswagen Group with 10.14 million vehicles delivered. But many analysts believe 2015 will be the year when the German group finally claims the title of the world's biggest manufacturer. Toyota itself believes in this possibility, predicting a slight drop in sales this year, due to the cooling of the Japanese car market and in some key markets for the Japanese brand.
