Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus confirms new project

After gaining approval for low-volume manufacturer status, which will allow Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) to produce up to 325 cars a year in the US, the company now unveils a teaser of what its next model could be.

In a publication on its facebook page, SCG reveals some information about the model that will cost around 350 thousand euros, a much more “nice” value than the SCG 003S, which approaches almost 2 million euros. Apparently, the model that still has no name will be a very light car, with a carbon fiber chassis, and should have a configuration identical to the McLaren F1 and BP23, in other words, with three seats.

The power should be around 650 hp, with 720 Nm of torque and an approximate weight of 1100 kg. It is also known that customers will be able to opt for a six-speed manual transmission, or an automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The images still don't reveal much of the model's lines, but the Motor Authority says that the new SCG should be inspired by an old concept which the SCG has authorization for replication.

The model will be based on a concept with more than 25 years

There is no longer any “hint” as to which concept will be behind this new model. However, SCG has already discarded one of the most likely hypotheses, which would be the Ferrari Modulo concept, acquired from Pininfarina in 2014.

The three images revealed suggest a rear engine, and a styling that goes from vintage to modern.

Available orders

It is also unclear at what stage the development of this new project will be, but the company has responded to the comments as follows:

In fact, it is already possible to make reservations for the model that will be built in the United States, and that will have approval for America.

The company also revealed that it intends to make multiple versions of competition, and as requested by customers, even asking those interested in a racing or road version to contact it. What are you waiting for?
