Designer Alexander Selipanov is the new head of the design department at Genesis, Hyundai's luxury brand.
Starting in January of next year, Genesis will have a new element on its boards. This is the designer Alexander Selipanov – Sasha to friends – known for being responsible for the design of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo and the Bugatti Chiron (below).
Before, Selipanov had already worked at Lamborghini, having been a key part of the team that developed the Huracán in 2010.

Now, this 33-year-old Russian designer is responsible for the Global Genesis Advanced Studio in Germany, and will have the task of developing the future range of Genesis models in his hands. Therefore, Alexander Selipanov did not hide his enthusiasm:“I'm very happy with this opportunity, it's a new chapter in my career. Having worked with brands that are already well established in the market, integrating Genesis frames is a new challenge for me. With the growing anticipation and curiosity around Genesis, I can't wait to be able to contribute my experience.”
Genesis, Hyundai's luxury brand, was launched in 2015 with the objective of competing with German proposals. By 2020, the South Korean brand plans to launch six new models, including an electric vehicle and a high-powered sports car.
