Aston Martin Vanquish will receive a restyling by the hand of… Ian Callum

Anonim

With a new Aston Martin Vanquish confirmed for 2023, which will swap the engine positioned at the front for a mid-range rear engine, Ian Callum revisits the first generation, precisely the one he designed, giving it the restyling it never had, naming it in Aston Martin Vanquish 25 by CALLUM.

Jaguar's former design director (he left last year) plans to produce 25 units of the British GT and it's much more than an aesthetic job.

In addition to proposing to retouch the design of the model originally launched in 2001, Ian Callum also intends to update it both technologically and mechanically.

To this end, it is proposed to completely dismantle 25 Vanquish units and update them in a process in which the customer will be able to speak directly with the designer to specify all the details of their car — it seems to us a kind of “restomod”, although it is still a relatively recent model.

What changes abroad?

In the aesthetic chapter, the changes do not pinch the proportions and volumes that were so acclaimed at the time of its revelation. The changes made are relatively discreet and allow to offer a more current look to the British GT.
