Skoda Kodiaq: "Spicy" version may have 240 hp of power

A few days after the official presentation of its new SUV, Skoda promises more news for the new Kodiaq.

The Skoda Kodiaq, presented in Berlin, will have a range of four engines – two diesel TDI blocks and two TSI petrol blocks, with displacements between 1.4 and 2.0 liters and powers between 125 and 190 hp – available with a 6-speed manual transmission and DSG transmission with 6 or 7 speeds. However, the Czech brand may not stop there.

According to Christian Struber, responsible for the brand's research and development area, Skoda is already working on a more powerful version with a twin-turbo diesel engine, DSG gearbox and all-wheel drive. Everything indicates that this engine may be the same four-cylinder block that currently equips the Volkswagen Passat, and that delivers 240 hp of power in the German model.
