The Skoda Kodiaq, scheduled for presentation at the next Paris Motor Show, marks the Czech manufacturer's debut in the SUV segment.

A few weeks away from the official unveiling of its new SUV dubbed Kodiaq, Skoda today launched the first appetizer. In the face of strong competition, this new model was developed with “tomorrow” in mind according to the Czech brand, a position that is reflected in the advanced infotainment system coming from the second generation of the Volkswagen Group's Modular Infotainment Matrix.

Also, inside, versatility is the watchword. In fact, one of the great strengths of the Skoda Kodiaq will be the space on board and the high luggage capacity, especially in the seven-seater variant with an extra row of seats (folding).

As we have already advanced, the Skoda Kodiaq will be available with a range of five engines: two TDI (presumably 150 and 190hp) and three TSI petrol blocks (the most powerful petrol engine will be the 2.0 TSI at 180hp). In terms of the transmission, it will be possible to choose a six-speed manual transmission or dual clutch DSG, in addition to the front or all-wheel drive system (only on the most powerful engines).

The new Skoda Kodiaq is scheduled for presentation on September 1st, and a month later, it will be present at the Paris Motor Show. The launch for the European market is scheduled for the beginning of next year.
