What will be the successor of the Peugeot 508 as Car of the Year in Portugal?

Anonim

After last year the Peugeot 508 having won the Essilor Car of the Year trophy/Crystal Wheel Trophy 2019 the time has come to elect the successor.

Altogether, there will be 19 judges (representatives of the most important Portuguese media), including Razão Automóvel, which is part of the permanent jury, who will choose the model that will succeed the 508.

In one of the most attended editions ever (a total of 28 entries, of which 24 are eligible for Car of the Year), the Car of the Year organizing committee decided to create two new categories exclusively dedicated to electric and hybrid cars.

The goal? Emphasize the importance of electrification in the automotive sector and make known the commitment and investment that manufacturers are making in this area.

As in the previous edition, this year the organization once again selects five innovative and technologically advanced devices that can directly benefit the driver and the driver, which will then be voted on by the judges in order to discover who wins the “Technology and Innovation Award”.

Candidates:

In addition to the big winner, who will win the title of “Essilor Car of the Year/Trophy Crystal Wheel 2020”, whose seven finalists will be known in January, the best cars (version) will also be chosen in seven categories: City, Family, Sports/Entertainment, Large SUV, Compact, Electric and Hybrid SUV.
