Cold Start. 16-year-old girl conquers fastest slalom record

Chloe Chambers could be just another 16-year-old girl, but the truth is she has a “secret”: she has raced competitively in karts since she was 11 years old. It also helps to understand how she achieved this record for the fastest slalom in a vehicle driving a Porsche 718 Spyder.

The challenge, certified by Guinness World Records, consisted in making as fast as possible a route consisting of 51 cones, each 50 feet (15.24 m) apart.

Sounds easy, but requires some dexterity, as record holder Chloe Chambers says:

“It sounds easy, but it's not — zigzagging between 50 cones as fast as possible, trying to set a record and knowing I couldn't touch any — I definitely felt the pressure. Everything came together on my last pass; the car ran perfectly and I found the grip I needed.”

In the end, Chambers made a time of 47.45s , beating the previous record for the fastest slalom, set in 2018 in China, by more than half a second.
