Cold Start. The most accessible version of the Brabham BT62 is… the competition

Anonim

With a production limited to 70 units, the Brabham BT62 has now seen its third (and more affordable version).

Intended for competition, this version costs 750,000 pounds (about 868,000 euros) instead of the 1 million pounds (1 million and 157,000 euros) requested by the Ultimate Track Car track version or the 1.15 million pounds (about 1 million and 331 thousand euros) which costs the road legal version.

This price difference is due to the fact that the competition version (called… Competition) forgoes several luxuries such as the passenger seat, various interior finishes and even paint (instead it saw the body covered in vinyl).

Compared to the other BT62s, the Competition version maintains the central clamping wheels and even the removable steering wheel. Equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.4 l V8 capable of delivering 710 hp, the BT62 will compete in the WEC GTE class events in the 2021/2022 season.
