Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, a 630 hp luxury off-roader

What if we mixed the ruggedness and off-road capabilities of the traditional 4×4² G500 with the luxury and exclusivity of Maybach? This is more or less what the engineers of the German brand thought during the development of the new Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet , at a time when the brand sells out the last cartridges of the current generation of the G-Class.

As the name landaulet suggests, this unique version limited to 99 copies combines a four-door limousine-style bodywork with a retractable canvas roof in the passenger area. Inside, the rear of the cabin is also isolated from the driver and passengers benefit from the same leather-covered seats as the S-Class (with massage system), among other small perks such as a heated cup holder or a touch screen.

The price may come to exceed 300 thousand euros, but even so, potential buyers will not be missing.

You can choose between two different colors for the upholstery, three colors for the electric canvas top and four finishes for the bodywork.

At the heart of this luxury off-roader is an equally refined engine from AMG: a 6.0-litre V12 with 630 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The presentation of the Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet is scheduled for the next Geneva Motor Show, which starts in a month.
