New Nissan Micra promises a "revolution"

Nissan has unveiled the first images of the next generation of its city dweller, which is expected to appear in Paris with a completely renewed image.

“The revolution is coming”. It is in a nutshell that Nissan previews the new Micra, which has long been one of the most important models for the brand in Europe. Even with the growing popularity of SUV's/Crossovers in the “old continent” – namely the Nissan Qashqai – Nissan believes that this factor will not affect the performance of smaller models, and therefore the bet is on a completely renovated model ready to face the competition.

As had been speculated, judging by the images, the new model will have a more aggressive exterior design with slightly larger dimensions and sharper lines (inspired by the Nissan Sway prototype), to the detriment of the more “friendly” appearance of the current model. Inside, the bet should be on the highest quality of materials.

The new Nissan Micra will be based on the CMF-B platform of the Renault-Nissan alliance, and if confirmed, a wider range of engines is expected. All doubts will be clarified on September 29 in the French capital – here you can find all the news planned for the Paris Salon.
