Do you want to be a pilot in real life? Go to the Virtual Autodromo de Lisboa

Anonim

The Autodromo Virtual de Lisboa (AVL) is one of the main meeting points for speed lovers in Portugal — it is common to find at the AVL some of the main national drivers training for the "real" races.

But this article isn't about virtual evidence, it's about real opportunities. This year, this space, which is under the responsibility of Francisco Villar, pilot and coach-driver of some of the biggest promises of speed in the world, teamed up with CRM Motorsport to open the doors of the world of competition to a virtual pilot.

Through a challenge that takes place at the Autodromo Virtual de Lisboa, participants will have the opportunity to compete for a complete season at the wheel of the Kia Picanto GT Cup. A nice competition car that we had the opportunity to test a few weeks ago.

How to participate

For now, forget about the Kia Picanto GT Cup. The Lisbon Virtual Autodrome challenge will take place at the wheel not of a Kia Picanto, but of a Renault Clio Cup. Why a Renault Clio Cup? Because it is a car with characteristics very similar to the Kia Picanto GT Cup in terms of driving. Front-wheel drive, front engine, low power and required very rigorous driving to achieve good times. Just like a Kia Picanto GT Cup…

The challenge of the Virtual Autodromo de Lisboa will take place as follows:

Qualification Phase – April 12th to 27th

The qualifying phase will run from April 12th to 27th. In this phase, the participants for the Final Phase will be “chosen”. The 16 fastest drivers will be selected for the final race.

Final Phase - May 1st

At this stage, participants will put all their riding skills to the test when under pressure! They will have a complete racing program (Free Practice / Qualification / Warm Up and Race), in which the winner of the Lisbon Virtual Circuit Challenge by KIA Racing Opportunity will finally come out!

Final Prize

Registration for the KIA Racing Opportunity. The driver who wins the challenge must comply with the rules of the challenge promoted by KIA Portugal and CRM Motorsport, under penalty of losing the right to the prize, passing this to the 2nd place, and so on.

cost of participation

The qualifying phase will not have any associated participation cost, only the training done by each driver will be charged at list price. The cost of participating in the final phase will be 15 euros per rider / 11 euros for members.
