Cold Start. A Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat in "green hell"? Oh yeah…

Anonim

If you take a typical muscle car like the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat even a circuit as demanding as the Nürburgring doesn't seem to be the best of ideas at first, deciding to try to keep pace with a Porsche 911 then can only be considered madness.

But that's exactly what the authors of the YouTube channel, Bavarian MOPAR Works, decided to do. Thus, we see a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat going through the demanding circuit while passing several European models, until being overtaken by a Porsche 911 (996) that appears to be a GT3 (the author of the video believes it is a Turbo) and departing in Porsche chase.

Although the North American model is quite powerful — with 717 hp it is not lacking — its dimensions and weight do not make it the most suitable for the fast corners of the Nürburgring, and although it never managed to catch the 911, also didn't drift as far as we'd hoped.

Furthermore, it becomes quite clear at the end of the video that the Dodge did not “like” the visit to the circuit very much, making the “complaints” of the brakes very audible whenever requested.
