Mercedes has a surprise in store for us… We are going to see the multi-F1 champion Michael Schumacher once again driving an F1 at the Nürburgring.

The German brand Mercedes-Benz announced that Michael Schumacher will return to the controls of a Formula 1. But calm down, this time it will not be to return to the world for the 3rd time, it will be "only" to take a tour of the mythical Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit, in a event that will be part of the festivities that precede the race of the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.

If these two condiments are in themselves more than enough reasons to pique our interest, please be aware that it was on the Nürburgring circuit that the German team received the nickname “Silver Arrows” in 1934. It all happened when the German team had to withdraw white car paint to achieve the minimum regulatory weight on your W25. Unpainted, the silver of the aluminum bodywork was on display, which would become a tradition that continues to this day.

This will be the second time that a modern Formula 1 car has covered the 25.947km of the Nürburgring. The first was Nick Heidfeld aboard a BMW-Sauber F1-07 6 years ago. It will certainly be an unforgettable tour. But will it break this record?

The 2011 Mercedes W02 and Michael Schumacher leave the renovation for another «ballet» at the pace of the Nurburgring.
