One of the stars of this year is the BMW M4 GTS concept. A model that unveils the most radical and sporty version of the M4. Of course, the GTS concept uses the best materials and the most exclusive pieces from the M Performance atelier.
Is it a concept? BMW says yes, but it shouldn't be too far from the production version – if our prayers are answered. It's haute couture for the tracks… and the roads!
The chosen fabric color (read bodywork) was Frozen Dark Gray Metallic with Acid Orange details on the rims. Of course, some of the elements that make up this haute couture piece are made of noble materials such as carbon fiber reinforced with plastic. It's like that on the hood, front bumper diffuser and rear spoiler. The final touch is given by the lights with OLED technology on the rear.

Under the hood – the one made of noble materials… – the 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder in-line engine, already known from the 'conventional' M4 version, rests. The big news on this M4 GTS is the introduction of the inlet water injection system – you can find out all about this system here. Thanks to the addition of this technology in the engine, BMW was able to raise the pressure of the turbos and anticipate fuel injection in the combustion chamber. The brand claims gains in maximum power and engine efficiency.
To withstand the most severe demands on the circuit, BMW improved the engine's peripherals, namely the radiators and/or intercoolers for the turbo and gearbox. The final version of the BMW M4 GTS concept will be presented at the end of the year, until then we have these images:
