What if Mercedes-Benz made a mini A-Class?

Historically, when a brand says it won't do something, it always ends up doing it. Is this the case? Hmm...

Theophiluschin's speculative design (in the images) serves as the motto for the following hypothesis: what if Mercedes-Benz decided to join BMW (with MINI) and Audi (with the A1) in the dispute for the premium B segment? With the ongoing synergies between Mercedes-Benz and the Renault Group, it will not be due to the lack of components that the brand does not materialize a model with these characteristics, positioned below the Mercedes-Benz Class A.

As a platform and mechanical organ donor, the Renault Clio could emerge. Without a doubt, the strongest candidate for the role. To attest to the feasibility of this project, designer Theophiluschin took the bodywork of the Clio and attributed typical Mercedes-Benz aesthetic elements to it. The result can be seen in these images. What do you think?

Even if it has all the means at its disposal, it is unlikely that Mercedes-Benz will launch a model of this nature. In the distant future, if it does, the most natural thing is for Mercedes-Benz to use Smart to truly launch itself in the B-segment. For now, the Stuttgart-based brand rejects this possibility out of hand.

Currently, the closest model to this function is the Forfour – which shares the base with the… that's right, Renault Twingo! Even so, it's interesting to see how the Renault Clio turns out to be dressed to the nines with the aesthetic elements of the GLA.
