Remember the Lexus coupe that in 2012 left everyone with their jaws hanging? So it is. The Lexus LF-LC will even move into production and with a design very close to the concept.

The production version of Lexus LF-LC was picked up in dynamic testing in California (image below). This sports coupé with GT aspirations – which is expected to rival models such as the Porsche 911 and BMW 6 Series – is part of the line-up of new models with which Toyota's luxury division intends to attack German references in the coming years.

“(…) it is speculated that this new Japanese GT coupe could use two hybrid engines, one V6 and the other V8.”

The design of the production version (picture above) won't be too different from the concept presented in 2012 (picture highlighted), promises Lexus Europe's head of design, Alian Uytenhoven, who says the design of the LF-LC is very close. of the production version – between 90% to 100%. One of his allies in defending this design, very well accepted by critics, is Akio Toyoda, CEO of Toyota, one of the biggest LF-LC enthusiasts, "he doesn't want a production car that is different from the concept", he said. Regarding the platform, some argue that the Lexus LF-LC could be the first model to use the platform developed in partnership between BMW and Toyota. This is unlikely, since the model has been in development for several years.

As for engines, it is speculated that this new Japanese GT coupe may use two hybrid engines, one V6 and the other V8. The first should develop a power around 400hp while the second should surpass 500hp, and the emergence of an even more radical Lexus LF-LC, with the acronym F, cannot be ruled out.
