If someone came to tell me that they had seen an aggressive and “large” Toyota Prius, I, not wanting to hurt sensibilities, would laugh until all my tear fluid dried up – and I believe that would happen to you.
“You've got to be kidding! Is this, by any chance, possible?”, I would say… Well… But, apparently, it is. Japanese coach Wald International took the third generation Prius and, as if by magic, turned it into a respectful, masculine and wonderfully haunting car. I should have known by now that in the car world anything is possible, but as incredible as it may seem, I continue to admire myself with these simple gestures of creativity.
After taking a quick look at some of Wald International's projects, I quickly realized that one of their goals is to be able to transform a “modest” car into a car capable of exuding perversity on all sides. This Toyota Prius, in particular, received a very thorough beauty treatment, from the typical matte black paintwork to the smallest aerodynamic details, nothing escaped these Japanese.
Green was the color chosen to contrast with black, and can be seen on the bumpers, side skirts and tailgate. Note that the tailgate comes with a new, small spoiler with a built-in diffuser, and although there isn't a big difference to the original, it's well noticed the presence of this detail. Customers can also ask to darken the windows, lower the suspension and opt for two sets of alloy wheels – by the way, they fit perfectly into this Dark Prius.
For those, like me, doubting the Toyota Prius's visual potential, Wald International has made it clear here that it is possible to transform a lovable hybrid into a respectful and fiercely coveted vehicle. Good work…!
