Present in the market for 55 years, the mustang he is, in his own right, one of the greatest icons of Ford and the world car industry. Proof of this are facts such as world sales leadership among sports coupés for four consecutive years, being the car whose hashtag most often appears on Instagram and also the huge legion of fans it has around the world.
Speaking of legions of fans, a part of them decided to take a “pilgrimage” to the Ford test track in Lommel, Belgium, and help the blue oval brand beat a record it had already set in December 2017 , in Toluca, Mexico.
The record in question concerns the largest parade with only Ford Mustang units, with the participation of 1326 units from the various generations of the iconic model (in the previous record the parade had “only” 960 vehicles).
How to reach a record?
Contrary to what you might think, it wasn't enough for Ford to gather 1326 Mustangs on the Lommel track to achieve the new record. To achieve this, an uninterrupted Ford Mustang “train” had to be created, with no more than 20 meters of distance between each car.

In addition, participants also used their Mustangs to create a special choreography designed to celebrate the 55th anniversary (which is celebrated this year) of the iconic American model who became famous, for example in films such as the famous “ Bullitt” starring Steve McQueen.

Interestingly (or not), this record was obtained at a track located in Belgium, the country in which the model has known the greatest commercial success in Europe.
