But now, Severn Valley Motorsport responds to the letter. Known for their preparations on the Nissan GT-R, in 2014 they created a monster that combined the “harmless” Qashqai with the heart of a GT-R, but loaded with steroids, more than doubling its power, climbing to over 1100 hp .

But to get the speed record, 1100 hp was not enough. The Nissan Qashqai R has undergone many more changes, from replacing more components with forged ones, and revised supercharging. The result: this Nissan Qashqai with 2000 hp of power!
Considering the more compact dimensions of the Qashqai compared to the Land Cruiser — with the inherent aerodynamic advantages — one would expect that the same level of power would allow it to reach and surpass 370 km/h.

Challenge overcome, beyond doubt. The Nissan Qashqai R reached 382.7 km/h (237.8 mph), almost 13 km/h more than the Toyota Land Speed Cruiser. Severn Valley Motorsport will soon publish a video of the feat, but the record is already yours. More than 380 km/h in a Qashqai is a work… even if it has little or nothing in origin.
