After having already made known, at the last Frankfurt Motor Show, a prototype called “Aventura Exclusive Concept”, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles thus decided to carry out the “threats”.
This is the most powerful of the Volkswagen Amarok, at the same time with the 3.0 liter V6 TDI, but now with 258 hp at 3250 rpm of power and 580 Nm of torque at 1400 rpm — an increase of 33 hp and 30 Nm of torque compared to the existing version so far.
Exactly the same power as the Mercedes-Benz X350d 4Matic-Class, but the offensive by the Wolfsburg brand's commercial division does not stop there. On the contrary, Amarok V6 also has an Overboost function, which, when in use and even for brief moments, increases power to 272 hp!
Like the less powerful version, the new Amarok has a 4Motion all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
More equipment
In addition to a more powerful engine, the top-of-the-range Amarok, available only with the highest equipment levels, Highline and Aventura, also exhibits some aesthetic novelties, namely, the inclusion of titanium applications on the roof and pillars, in addition to the already known Nappa leather seats.Also available are 20” wheels with a dark graphite finish, as well as a Green Peacock, though only for the Adventure version.
Bi-xenon optics, a safety bar, automatic lights and windshield wipers, fog lamps with a curve function and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors are also part of the equipment list. All equipment proposed as standard in the Adventure version, but optional in Highline.

Direct rival of the Mercedes X-Class 350d 4MATIC, the new Volkswagen Amarok V6 is now available, to order, in Germany, with prices starting at €51,384 (Highline) and €58,072 (Adventure).
Values that, moreover, are still high, if we think that, for around 2000 thousand euros, it is possible to buy a Touareg, also with a V6 engine.
