Mercedes-Benz X-Class continues to receive a lot of attention . More than a simple Nissan Navara “rebadge” — as we explained in our contact —, the X-Class stands out for the work developed in terms of the suspension and interior, much more luxurious, that distinguish it from the Japanese “sister”.

A pickup truck with the star symbol would naturally have to capture the attention of German preparers. Prior Design wasted no time, and unveiled two aesthetic kits that add a lot of muscle to the X-Class's appearance.

Class X steroid version

Both kits are characterized by adding many centimeters to the width of the Class X. Starting with the most “modest”, called PD400 Widebody Aerodynamic-Kit , consists only of widening the wheel arches. The second, called PD500 Widebody Aerodynamic-Kit , in addition to the wheel arches, adds new front and rear bumpers.

The front bumpers get new LED daytime running lights, and many of the X-Class chrome and satin finishes are gone, giving way to a black finish.

In the images published, you can still see the PD500 associated with a suspension kit, which brings the Class X closer to the asphalt, one of the options that the customer can choose. The other options focus on customizing the interior, new wheels from the preparer's catalog and, finally, an exhaust system. Mechanical changes are not mentioned, so the changes essentially focus on appearance.

The extensions are carried out in Duraflex , a material that results from the combination of fiberglass, plastic and flexible resin — the panels in this material are more flexible and durable than those made with just fiberglass, in addition to presenting a surface with a better finish.
