Mercedes-Benz X-Class now with "AMG treatment"

Anonim

The first prototype of the pick-up truck from the Stuttgart brand was only unveiled last week. More than enough time for one of the usual suspects to reveal his “AMG spec” interpretation of the Mercedes-Benz X-Class.

To the displeasure of some brand enthusiasts – but much more, taking into account the reactions on social media – Mercedes-Benz is preparing to debut in the pick-up segment with the X-Class. the production version will only be presented next year – possibly in March, at the Geneva Motor Show – the digital designer X-Tomi anticipated (once again…) and shows us beforehand what a hypothetical AMG version will look like.

Based on the Stylish Explorer prototype – of the two prototypes presented this will be the one closest to the production version – the Hungarian designer chose to redesign only the front bumper, air intakes, mirror covers, roof and rims, since it's under the hood that the magic will happen. If implemented, the AMG version will have the brand's twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering powers ranging from 476 to 600 hp.

Would launching an AMG signature pickup be nonsense? Maybe not, just think that the G-Class has already been the target of such treatment.
