The Lamborghini Aventador S met this week in Geneva the first updates since it was launched in 2011.
Six years after the presentation of the Aventador at the Geneva Motor Show, the super sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese is back. In addition to the aesthetics that were subject to changes, there are news in terms of mechanics and technology.
As for the atmospheric V12 engine, the new electronic management allows power to be increased to 740 hp (+40 hp). The maximum speed also increased from 8250 rpm to 8400 rpm. Still in the chapter of mechanical modifications, the new exhaust system (20% lighter) should also have its share of responsibility for these values, expecting an even more intimidating «snore».
Despite the increase in power, performances remain at the same level as the predecessor. Contain the disillusionment as they are nonetheless thunderous. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes just 2.9 seconds, 8.8 to 200 km/h and the top speed is 350km/h.

Whenever the driver manages to take his eyes off the road, he will have at his disposal a center console with a new infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Because power isn't everything, aerodynamics were also worked on. Some of the aerodynamic solutions found in the SV (Super Veloce) version were carried over to this “new” Lamborghini Aventador S. Compared to its predecessor, the Aventador S now generates 130% more downforce on the front axle and 40% more on the rear axle. Ready for another 4 years? It seems so.
