With the support of two turbochargers, the V8 guarantees the 488 Spider Pista a capability of acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds , with the announced top speed appearing at 340 km/h.
Equipped with a retractable roof, the 488 Pista convertible variant adds 91 kg to the 1280 kg of the coupé, bringing the total weight, without fluids, to 1371 kg. Just one kilogram more than the 488 GTB.
