The new Mercedes-Benz G350d Professional is intended for intensive use in difficult conditions. In other words: we have the G-Class back!
Back to its roots, the new Mercedes-Benz G350d Professional is described as the most purist variant of this model today. For a few years now, the G-Class has become, little by little, more of a luxury icon associated with Dubai magnates, the Kardashian family and countless American rappers, than a true “pure and hard” – the purpose for which it was designed.On the Mercedes-Benz G350d Professional there was no room for velvet skins, nor for 20-inch wheels, let alone for 'aesthetic' appendages. Under the bonnet, we find a 3.0 liter diesel engine with 248hp and 599Nm of maximum torque. The G Professional is coupled to a 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission that distributes four-wheel drive (permanent), with three differential lock options. These values result in a sprint up to 100km/h in 8min8s seconds and a top speed of 160km/h. Not bad for a work vehicle.
At a technical level, it gains another 10 mm of ground clearance (245 mm in total). The angles of attack and departure, which, in other models in the class, are both 30º, in this more professional version, have been moved to the generous 36º and 39, respectively.
Inside the Mercedes-Benz G350d Professional, the changes are more drastic: the usual wood finishes have been replaced by resistant plastics, the upholstery skin has been replaced by fabric, the carpets are now rubber and there is no infotainment system or automatic windows – we warned that it was designed for purists… However, it keeps the steering wheel with integrated controls and front seats with electric adjustment.

On the outside, we find the front grille as the headlight protection in matte black, 16-inch wheels with 265/70 tires – find out the meaning of these numbers here – as well as various options ranging from the “retouch ball”, passing through tinted windows, to the access ladder to the roof.
