Rimac destroyed two more C_Two in the name of security

Unveiled in 2018 and scheduled to start production in 2021, the Rimac C_Two continues to undergo an extensive development program.

An important part of this program is precisely the crash tests, or crash tests. Started in 2019 (we also talked about them at the time), they have now entered a new phase, with Rimac “destroying” two C_Twos in the name of security.

This time the Croatian hypersport was launched at 40 km/h and 56 km/h against a deformable barrier with a 40% frontal overlap.

According to Rimac, in addition to the monocoque not having suffered any damage, the Croatian brand stressed that there was no special intrusion by the pedals, nor were the driver or passenger subjected to excessive forces.

a long process

As already mentioned, the C_Two crash-testing program started a year ago after several years of simulations at the material and component level.

Testing with prototypes followed several tests carried out on simulators with virtual models. In total, Rimac will destroy eleven C_Two prototypes during the safety testing phase — remember that only 100 C_Two units are planned to be produced.

The goal is to achieve global approval that will allow the Rimac C_Two to be sold anywhere in the world.
