In an era marked by electrification, the abandonment of Diesel and downsizing, the Mazda continues to choose to take a different path. Proof of this is the renovated Mazda CX-3 which, in addition to aesthetic touches, received a new diesel engine and, for the first time in our market, a gasoline engine.
And it is exactly this new engine that is the big news of the renewed Mazda CX-3. With 1.8 l and 115 hp , this motorization replaces the 105 hp 1.5 SKYACTIV-D which the CX-3 used and which was, until now, the only engine with which the Japanese model was available in our market.
Available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission , the new 1.8 SKYACTIV-D can be associated with a system of all-wheel drive or front only . Another novelty is the fact that, from now on, the CX-3 will be available with a gasoline engine, in this case the 121 hp 2.0 l always with front wheel drive and six-speed manual transmission.
Renovation (very) discreet
As you may have already noticed, the big news of the renewed CX-3 is under the bonnet. The model launched in 2015 saw its aesthetics remain practically unchanged in this renovation, with the differences on the outside being the redesigned grille, the rear lights, the new 18″ wheels, the Red Soul Crystal color and the Matrix optics LED.

Also in the interior, the changes were discreet, being the the biggest highlight is the electric handbrake (with auto-hold function) which replaced the manual handbrake allowing the adoption of a new armrest in the center console and the installation of a storage compartment under the armrest.
Mazda also claims that it has worked on suspension and steering adjustment to improve (further) its crossover's dynamic capabilities. In terms of security, with this renewal, the CX-3 now has new contents in the i-ACTIVSENSE system (a new traffic assistant that can be combined with the automatic cash machine) and even a more advanced version of the Smart City Brake Support system, which started to detect pedestrians at night.
Mazda CX-3 prices
The Mazda CX-3 will be available in three equipment levels: Evolve, Excellence and Advance, of which only the Advance level can be associated with the gasoline engine.
In terms of prices, in the case of Diesel the value varies between 27,032 euros ordered by the CX-3 with manual gearbox, front wheel drive and the Evolve equipment level and the 48 343 euros that costs a Mazda CX-3 Excellence with automatic transmission, all-wheel drive and the equipment packs High Technology, Leather White, Navi and metallic paint.
In the gasoline version, the price starts at 29,359 euros orders for the Advance version going up to 30 163 euros which costs the Advance version with the Navi equipment pack and metallic paint.
