The Audi Q2 was finally unveiled in Geneva. The 116hp 1.0 TFSI Engine should guarantee competitive prices to Q2 in the domestic market.
Young, urban and premium. The new Audi Q2 is the big news for the Ingolstadt brand at this 86th edition of the Geneva Motor Show. With the SUV segment representing an ever-increasing share of the car market, Audi decided to launch a more compact model than the Q3. Clearly inspired by its bigger brothers, the Q2 adds a more youthful tone to Audi's SUV gamas range thanks to its design. A model that uses the MQB platform of the Volkswagen Group and that will have a strong commercial ally in its range of engines, namely in the 1.0 TFSI engine with 116hp that should allow the Audi Q2 to be sold at a very attractive price in the national market.
In addition to the 1.0 TFSI, the 1.4 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI engines will also be available – these engines can be combined with the quattro all-wheel drive system and the 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox). In terms of Diesel, the most interesting engine for the national market will be the 1.6 TDI. In addition to this 1.6 TDI Audi Q2 customers will be able to opt for a 2.0 TDI which in the most powerful version will provide 190hp of maximum power.
Interior bets on technology
Inside, the Audi Q2 presents the quality that the German brand's proposals have already accustomed us to. The infotainment system screen dominates the center console and it is possible to equip the Q2 with a head-up display and virtual cockpit system.
In the field of safety equipment, we must highlight the Audi pre sense, adaptive cruise control (with stop & go function), maintenance assistant in the carriageway, recognition of traffic signs, among others. The new Audi Q2 will go on sale this fall across Europe.
