Volkswagen Amarok Arctic Trucks AT35 is your full name. It is a transformation performed by Arctic Trucks — known for the super Toyota Hilux used in one of the Top Gear adventures, at the time when Clarkson and company were there.
It is Amarok results from a partnership with an Icelandic distributor of Volkswagen commercial vehicles, being a unique model. The goal? Serve as a support vehicle for snow and ice driving experiences during the Icelandic winter.
To fulfill its mission, this Volkswagen Amarok V6 TDI (224 hp) was transformed as if in preparation for an apocalyptic scenario worthy of the movie “The Day After Tomorrow”.
The suspension was raised by 25 mm and was given new, large fiberglass fenders to accommodate the huge all-terrain tires — 315/70 R17 — and even larger fenders.
Inside, we can find a fire extinguisher, a portable generator, a VHF radio, toolbox, jack, first aid kit with defibrillator, work light and… a cappuccino machine (!) — essential to survive the cold…
