The production of the Lexus LC 500, the sports car that marks the return of Lexus to the big coupés, has already started. Produced in Motomachi, Japan, at the same factory where the iconic Lexus LFA was produced, the LC 500 benefits from some technologies originally intended for Lexus' limited-production supercar.

According to Lexus, "each unit is built by a team of Takumi master craftsmen." Toyota's luxury brand bets on leather coverings, Alcantara leather and materials such as magnesium in the interior.

Remember that the Lexus LC 500 is powered by a 5.0 V8 engine capable of generating 467 hp of power, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.5 seconds. This engine is coupled to an Aisin ten-speed automatic transmission.

In the meantime, we got to know the hybrid version LC 500h, equipped with a 3.5 V6 engine, two electric units and an e-CVT box supported by a 4-speed automatic gearbox – you know in detail all this source of technology here.

The launch of the Lexus LC 500 should take place in August, with prices still to be revealed.
