With increasing demand for more efficient cars, an ozone layer that needs serious patching and a warmer-than-normal climate, Audi presents what will be another evolution of the city car - the Audi that promises to spend only 1 liter per 100.

This is the concern of the Ingolstadt brand. A brand is not only made of large SUVs or sports cars, Audi wants to be at the forefront in the offer to city dwellers, and this, with the announced consumption, promises to be another headache for the oil companies.

Although it is not yet possible to give all the details due to the scant information, there are already some certainties – the engine will not be based on the 2-cylinder diesel, present in the XL1, the Volkswagen concept. The car will be a true “4 seater” and Wolfgang Durheimer, head of technical development at Audi, guarantees that comfort will not be compromised in order to reach the advertised consumptions – “it will have air conditioning”. It remains to be seen whether it can be connected, under penalty of exceeding the advertised consumption average...

The design will be inspired by the Concept presented in Paris – the Crosslane Coupé that we can see in the photos. The model will use lightweight materials such as carbon fiber and is guaranteed to be an “affordable” model, with the brand's goal being to create a car for everyone. The project should reach dealers within three years and our portfolios are waiting!
