List of the least reliable cars in the last 15 years. Is yours also on the list?
As is well known, one of the main concerns of consumers when purchasing a car, whether new or used, is the reliability of its components. As a rule, after housing, the car is the second largest investment by families, so the concern is not surprising.
Knowing this, Warranty Direct – an English insurance company – as part of the celebration of its 15 years of existence, launched the record of occurrences of breakdowns and repair costs of more than 200,000 vehicles, from 1997 until now.
This study took into account more than 450 vehicles and related variables such as the number of breakdowns, age, distance covered and repair costs.
To the surprise of many, the list of unreliable cars is filled with cars from supposedly reliable brands. As is the case with Mercedes or Porsche. In fact, the presence of these cars is explained not by the number of breakdowns of their components, but by the costs associated with their maintenance and repairs.
The Porsche 911, for example, is a car with a low rate of breakdowns but on the other hand it is one that has the highest repairs, hence the position so little "honorable".
But without further ado, check out the Warranty Direct UK 'black list':
