In a week that talked about the possible creation of a BMW M8 to rival the Audi R8, now comes the news that Audi is thinking about something more flashy and powerful: Audi R10? Maybe yes, this is the name of the next super sports car from the German brand.
The four-ring brand is developing a new supercar that will be inspired by the technology developed in the R18 e-tron 2012 that managed to win this year's Le Mans 24H. The R10 will, in principle, be a diesel hybrid supercar that will place itself at the top of the list of the best Audi production cars.
The Audi R10 will have as main rivals the McLaren P1, the next Ferrari Enzo and the Porsche 918. And while it's still too premature to be making big predictions, the next top of the range from Audi is expected to come with a monocoque of carbon fiber and a combined power of around 700 hp and 1000 Nm of maximum torque. Numbers that will allow you to race from 0-100 km/h in 3 sec and reach a top speed of 322 km/h.
