Return to production also at SEAT in Martorell

THE return to production in European car factories gains strong momentum this week, with several announcements to that effect.

SEAT has also restarted its activity yesterday, April 27, at its factory in Martorell, Barcelona, with the Spanish brand showing two images, where we can see workers around the new SEAT Leon.

The image of workers on the assembly line, equipped with gloves, mask and visor, is repeated in other factories across Europe. This should be a common image, the new “normal” in assembly lines — and not just … — for the time being.

SEAT Martorell return to production

SEAT also indicated that production has resumed, but only at a third of its full capacity. The main reason behind this timid restart is that they managed to implement all the measures defined to guarantee the safety and health of all their workers.

It was in this sense that before giving this return to production, SEAT, after an agreement with the unions, started a test program for 15 thousand workers, at the rate of 3000 tests per week.

In addition to the Martorell employees, SEAT Barcelona, SEAT Components, CROS (SEAT Spare Parts Center) employees and the other employees of the Spanish brand, as well as employees of the rest of the Volkswagen group operating in Spain, are also being tested.
