Electrification is on Porsche's list of duties, which, after having driven the most powerful Porsche Panamera ever on the roads of Alentejo, also a hybrid, does not worry us at all.
Last week, the Stuttgart brand took to the Geneva Motor Show the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo, a more adventurous version of the Porsche Mission E, a 100% electric saloon capable of overwhelming performance.
Now it's time to introduce electrification on the brand's flagship, the Porsche 911. This is how the brand expects to achieve numbers close to those 700 hp of combined power, according to statements by Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche.
The electric motor must have at least a power of 136 hp, the same that we can find in the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, while the combustion engine must be the eternal six-cylinder boxer, with turbo.
Oliver Blume, Porsche CEOIt will be the most powerful Porsche 911 ever, it should be possible to reach 700 hp
However, the technology to be applied in the new Porsche 911 hybrid, 992 generation, will be unique, despite the brand's experience in the hybrid version of the Porsche Panamera, as well as the 918 Spyder.
The 992 generation Porsche 911 is expected to be unveiled to the public at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in mid-October, although we've already seen some leaks of the model's footage. The hybrid version will only arrive two years later.
